Youth Alive FireBible 100% Funded By LFTL

by Dan Kersten on June 15, 2026

We were thrilled, proud, and honored to be able to provide 100% of the funding to develop and print the Youth Alive Student FireBible as an investment in American youth.

Youth Alive Student FireBibles are given only to a teenagers who declare intentions to use them to point other students towards Christ! 15,000 Youth Alive Student FireBibles were printed initially, with 12,000+ now in the hands of American teenagers. One of the Youth Alive Student FireBible's strongest champions and advocates is Tom Bachman, a Youth Alive missionary to students in Oregon.

“In Oregon, I am witnessing a profound hunger for the Gospel," Tom says, "Creating unique opportunities to connect individuals with the transformative power of Scripture. Through Light for the Lost we are ensuring the message of hope reaches those who need it most.”

Tom Bachman has served the youth of Oregon as a Youth Alive missionary for more than 30 years. The Youth Alive Student FireBible is a powerful resource in his hands.

Here are some comments made by Oregon students who are using their FireBibles in personal evangelism at school:

“This week I prayed for my close friends, and I stepped out my comfort zone and prayed over one of my classmates for the first time. I'm proud of myself for doing that.”

“Every day I prayed for my campus at school while I walked to classes. I know there’s still people hurting and lost that really aren’t Christians yet…My hope is that I can be a light for Jesus at my school.”

“I had this Bible project for class and we shared our testimonies. That was my first time doing it. I feel way more confident in sharing it to other people now and I’m excited to tell others about what God has done in my life.”

“The Youth Alive Student FireBible is so helpful with deepening my faith on a personal and relational level. The commentary explains the Bible in a deeper way. The notes break down the history and the true meaning behind the text. It takes the guesswork out of difficult concepts and connects the ancient text directly to modern life. I feel more confident to share the Good News or answer questions my friends might have about the Bible.”

We want to thank every LFTL partner for investing in this ministry so we can then make incredible ministry resources like this possible!
